All StarZ Staffing is hiring a Purchasing Clerk / Buyer for an immediate opening with an equipment manufacturing company in Arlington, WA. We’re looking for someone with 2+ years of purchasing experience and a proactive procurement approach. Knowledge of IATF guidelines and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

 

Pay for the Purchasing Clerk / Buyer:

  • $30 per hour

 

Location:

  • Arlington, WA

 

Schedule for the Purchasing Clerk / Buyer:

  • Monday –Thursday
  • Part time, with the open to increase if job duties require it
  • Day Shift – 6a or 7a start time

 

Purchasing Clerk / Buyer Duties:

  • Negotiate and place purchase orders of raw components, goods, and services
  • Ensure Suppliers meet IATF quality requirements
  • Follow up with corrective actions as needed to maintain IATF quality compliance
  • Create, update, and adhere to quality procurement procedures in alignment with IATF guidelines
  • Coordinate purchasing activities with Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering
  • Evaluate schedule, cost, price breaks etc. to decide on appropriate order quantities
  • Work with Manufacturing and Quality to assure a smooth and efficient flow of materials to the manufacturing floor
  • Maintains REACH, RoHS, and conflict minerals information from supply chain, working closely with other employees tasked to maintain compliance
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date supplier/cost information within ERP system

 

Purchasing Clerk / Buyer Qualifications:

  • Must be able to implement proactive procurement strategies to avoid foreseeable supply shortages
  • Must be able to consistently represent the company in a professional and respectful manner
  • 2+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, and Theory of Constraints
  • ERP software & Crystal Reports experience or the ability and desire to learn
  • Must be able to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to accept feedback with a positive attitude to learn and grow in the role
