All StarZ Staffing is hiring a Purchasing Clerk / Buyer for an immediate opening with an equipment manufacturing company in Arlington, WA. We’re looking for someone with 2+ years of purchasing experience and a proactive procurement approach. Knowledge of IATF guidelines and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. This is a temp to hire opportunity.
Pay for the Purchasing Clerk / Buyer:
- $30 per hour
Location:
- Arlington, WA
Schedule for the Purchasing Clerk / Buyer:
- Monday –Thursday
- Part time, with the open to increase if job duties require it
- Day Shift – 6a or 7a start time
Purchasing Clerk / Buyer Duties:
- Negotiate and place purchase orders of raw components, goods, and services
- Ensure Suppliers meet IATF quality requirements
- Follow up with corrective actions as needed to maintain IATF quality compliance
- Create, update, and adhere to quality procurement procedures in alignment with IATF guidelines
- Coordinate purchasing activities with Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering
- Evaluate schedule, cost, price breaks etc. to decide on appropriate order quantities
- Work with Manufacturing and Quality to assure a smooth and efficient flow of materials to the manufacturing floor
- Maintains REACH, RoHS, and conflict minerals information from supply chain, working closely with other employees tasked to maintain compliance
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date supplier/cost information within ERP system
Purchasing Clerk / Buyer Qualifications:
- Must be able to implement proactive procurement strategies to avoid foreseeable supply shortages
- Must be able to consistently represent the company in a professional and respectful manner
- 2+ years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, and Theory of Constraints
- ERP software & Crystal Reports experience or the ability and desire to learn
- Must be able to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to accept feedback with a positive attitude to learn and grow in the role
