All StarZ Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for an immediate opening with a company in Des Moines, WA. We’re looking for someone with recent facility maintenance experience.
Pay for the Maintenance Assistant:
- $20 per hour
Location:
- Des Moines, WA
- Bus line accessible
Schedule for the Maintenance Assistant:
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift
Maintenance Assistant Duties:
- Complete interior and exterior maintenance and repairs
- Respond to resident maintenance requests within 24 hours
- Perform furniture, appliance, HVAC, electrical, and general repairs
- Assess the cause of plumbing issues (leaks, clogs, floods) and make appropriate repairs
- Perform drywall repair and appropriate painting
- Respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes
- Conduct routine site and apartment inspections
- Implement a preventative maintenance program and change HVAC filters
- Assist with ground maintenance as needed
- Assist with janitorial maintenance, and ensure the cleanliness of community spaces
- Remove snow from parking lots, walkways, and patios with plow, snow blower, and shovels
Maintenance Assistant Qualifications:
- General maintenance experience preferred
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Must have strong problem solving, customer service & technical skills
- Basic word processing and filing skills
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Able to follow and interpret graphs and diagrams
- Must be able to communicate with a variety of individuals
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
