All StarZ Staffing is hiring a Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic for an immediate opening with a truck and trailer company located in Portland, OR. We’re looking for someone with at least 1 year of related experience. Multiple direct hire openings available!

 

Pay for the Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic:

  • Up to $30 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule for the Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic:

  • Swing & Graveyard opportunities available
  • OT available

Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic Duties:

  • Inspect vehicles and equipment, and replace tires, roll up doors & swing doors
  • Troubleshoot and work with air brakes, wheel seals, and axle end components
  • Repair spring & air suspensions, air anti-lock brake systems, and lighting & electrical systems
  • Repair & rebuild 5th wheels & body repairs on semi-trailers
  • Provide time estimates for repairs
  • Welding & fabrication on steel, stainless, and aluminum
  • Use of a variety of hand and power tools and equipment

 

Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic Qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) of related experience
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must have good problem solving skills
  • Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
