All StarZ Staffing is hiring a Fund Development Officer for an immediate opening with a non-profit housing organization company in Federal Way, WA. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and attention to detail for this direct hire opportunity.

 

Pay for the Fund Development Officer:

  • $70 – $80k per year, depending on experience

Location:

  • Federal Way, WA
  • Bus line accessible

Schedule for the Fund Development Officer:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Flexible schedule

Fund Development Officer Duties:

  • Assist management in determining annual fundraising goals & strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with new, current, and lapsed donors
  • Assist with database management to track contacts, donor giving, and notes
  • Develop & implement plans for major and special gifts
  • Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns
  • Manage special events, including stewardship events
  • Work with data and marketing staff to share data with prospective and existing donors
  • Lead fundraising projects that focus on lower-level and entry-level gifts
  • Work closely with the Board to inspire participation in development efforts, while capitalizing on board members’ resources, talents, and networks.
  • Identify grant opportunities and work with the Executive Team and grant writer to submit grant applications
  • Create and implement donor communication and acknowledgments
  • Create marketing strategies through social media and print
  • Manage fund development marketing and communications projects through all phases including design, feedback, approval process, and implementation
  • Create and distribute a monthly e-newsletter in collaboration with the communications (marketing) team

 

Fund Development Officer Qualifications:

  • Must be able to prioritize business goals and develop strategies to meet the organization’s needs
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate and work as part of a team
  • Must be able to focus achieving end results as an organization
  • Able to openly offer innovative suggestions and solutions
  • Able to recognize adversity and be ready to assist others to get the job done
  • Able to listen and recognize the contributions of others
  • Able to see different suggestions as valuable to ensure the best ideas are surfaced, analyzed, and implemented
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Able to change communication style to adapt to others and always be approachable
  • Must be able to adapt approach to best fit the situation and audience
  • Must be able to maintain and promote a positive attitude
  • Networking experience preferred
  • Must have strong attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, Google Docs and Program Management Software
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates effective fund development for nonprofit organizations
