All StarZ Staffing is hiring a Corrosion Control/Cathodic Protection Technician II for an immediate opening at the Bangor Naval Base near Bremerton & Silverdale, WA. We’re looking for someone with experience in corrosion control and cathodic protection systems to maintain and manage essential cathodic protection systems. Support a critical Navy mission in a one-of-a-kind submarine base setting. This is a full-time, contract opportunity.
Pay for the Corrosion Control/Cathodic Protection Technician II:
- $35+ per hour, depending on experience
Job Location:
- Bangor Naval Base near Bremerton & Silverdale, WA, with easy access to SR 3
- Bus line accessible: Kitsap Transit provides service directly to Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor

- Monday – Friday

Fuel Truck Operator Duties:
- System Maintenance & Adjustment: Use hand tools, precision instruments, and specialized equipment to install, inspect, repair, maintain, and adjust impressed current and sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems
- Testing & Data Collection: Prepare test instruments, conduct field tests, and record/collect data for reports
- Preliminary Analysis & Reporting: Perform preliminary data analysis for response actions, generate repair work, or refer for advanced analysis by a Registered Mechanical Engineer. Prepare technical reports using PC-based systems for data collection and report generation
- Coating Application & Maintenance: Remove, repair, restore, and apply industrial coatings for corrosion control, along with routine cleaning/maintenance of associated equipment
- System Management: Maintain, repair, and/or replace cathodic protection systems
Corrosion Control/Cathodic Protection Technician II Qualifications:
- Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in corrosion control/cathodic protection
- Education: An associate’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, or a related field (with physics, chemistry, and mathematics coursework) may substitute
- Technical Proficiency: Thorough familiarity with repairing electrical and electronic cathodic protection equipment/devices and test equipment. Fundamental knowledge of industrial coatings and electrochemical reaction principles
- Reading & Communication: Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Basic math and strong communication skills for a service team environment
- Driving: Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Physical Readiness: Able to wear and work with a respirator
- S. Citizenship: Required for federal contract and base access
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass a thorough background check to obtain and maintain required security clearance for base access
- Certification: N.A.C.E. Certification (CIP3)
- Attendance: Able to maintain regular attendance
